Ryzen 5 1600 running at Default 3.8mhz

Hey guys,

i tried to OC my Ryzen 5 1600 to 3.8 Ghz and did that in the Bios since settings wont save on restart with the software,

I wanted to reset the OC to make some tests but realized that my Cpu kept running at 3.8 Ghz no matter what i did in the Bios.

I did even reset the Bios settings to default and the Cpu would still run at 3.8. I also reset the Software settings (Ryzen Master)

Alright - fiddeling around with CnQ aswell as Core boost has solved the problem. I disabled and enabled again and it works normal right now. Id still like to know why

thanks for a fast reply.

also, does the ram need to be buffered and or  ECC, since the config I'm trying to build would primarely be used for rendering, with 32gb/CPU in mind... where ECC would not make any difference.
