Hi, I want to use 3700x or 3900x cpu, but your recommended ram frequency on your offical web page is at least 3200 Mhz. But I have 3000 Mhz. Can I use 3000 Mhz ram properly with either 3700x or 3900x?
You can use slower RAM yes, but you will have a sub optimal experience, but you won't notice it.
I use a base base ram kit of 3200 which is set at 2144 initially before XMP without issues, so I cant see why not.
you can use even 2133 but 3600 is the best
Thanks. Do you mean that I can use 3000 Mhz ram without any system malfunction?
if your pc doesn't start then just install only one module of ram and clear cmos
I use the G.Skill Flare X which works well on my box. I have DDR4-3200 which my R5 2400G can leverage to DDR4-2933 with good timing to give excellent net bandwidth.
AMD supports DDR4-3200 with the Ryzen 3000 series but I am holding out for the new 4000 series which are expected in a few months
