Ryzen 3600 hitting 95c, is this causing any damage to the CPU?

Apologizes if double post, as I cannot find my other post anywhere?

To the question - I have just gotten a 3600 and its constantly hitting 95c with the stock cooler for the past few days now as I'm gaming. I opened the side panel and put a giant room fan to blow air, and its kept my PC cool by 75c. My question is prior to doing this DIY solution, did my CPU sustain any damage from the prolonged exposure of 95c? It was a few days, and i was under the impression 95c was the max safe temp but I have been reading that 80c is actually the safe temp for zen2.

I have an aftermarket CPU cooler coming hopefully by the end of this week.

Thank you for reading!

All 3rd generation, as far as I know, 95C is the Maximum Operating temperature. Once the temps start reaching 95C or goes higher, the Processor starts to automatically throttle to lower the temperature below 95C. IF it can't, then eventually it will reach a temperature above 95c where it will shut the computer down to prevent damage.

It is not a good idea to run the processor up to the Maximum Operating temperature all the time. With a good CPU Cooler, the Max temperature should be in the mid 80's at the most under heavy loads.

In your case if you have the Stock cooler, Wraith Stealth,  I would check to make sure it is installed correctly and making good contact with the processor and the fan is not obstructed in its air flow.
