rtx4070 cant run at pci-e 4.0 on a 5900x

Recently upgraded to a rtx 4070. Setting pci-e1 to Auto or Gen 4. GPU stuck in pci-e 1.1 even with load. Currently set Gen 3, it works at pci-e 3.0. Has anyone encountered the same dilemma? Do share, thank you.

Turns out that there is nothing wrong with the 5900x, the mainboard can't swtich to x16 PCI-E 4.0 at Auto/Gen 4 mode. Changed to another mainboard solved the issue.

I had the same problem and I racked my brains looking for the error, I even thought it was the motherboard and I changed it from an Aorus B550m pro to an Asus B550-f and it didn't work for me, I've read in several forums and it seems that it is a persistent problem in AMD chips, the PCIe port only works in 3.0, not only with video cards but also with audio cards, until now there is no bios update that fixes this problem.
