Received Ryzen 7600x smudged

I bought a new 7600X from Amazon recently. The processor had some smudges on it and the diodes/capacitors(yellow) looks faded. Is it normal or is there an issue? The package was sealed. However due to this smudges Idk if it is used or new. Is it normal or is there something wrong with it. Please any suggestions/replies would be helpful.

AMD factory tests processors before shipping, so some slight scuffing on the IHS may be present.

Have you tried installing it and powering the system on?

Ryzen R5 5600 | B550 Gaming Edge | 4x8GB G.Skill 3600 | Radeon RX 6800XT

My motherboard will be delivered in two days. I wanted to check whether it is normal as I am a first time builder . Will check once my motherboard arrives.

It is possible during the manufacturing process and packing of the processor the lid might have some stain on it.

As long as the smudge doesn't cover up the Serial and Model Numbers and other data and it works fine when you install it, it should be good.

Have you tried to clean the smudge with 90%+ Alcohol to see if it comes off?  Might be some residual chemicals from the factory.

Tried with alcohol. Some of the smudge cleared up but there are still some left after cleaning with alcohol. I installed the CPU and tried booting. It works as of now. So should be good.
