So I've been running this thing like this for a while now and I just wanted to ask this since I started thinking more about it.
My CPU (R5 5500) has widely varying temps and I can't tell if they're fine or not. When idling the CPU is around 40-50 degrees. With boosting the temps quickly jump up to around 90 degrees when I start playing any game, but it never really goes beyond that and as soon as the load is lifted, it quickly comes back to the 40-50 range. With boosting turned off and playing lower spec games the temps BARELY reach 70 degrees at most.
I've read an article where Robert Hallock says the 5000 series is designed to run at these temperatures and that it's not damaging to the chip. Like I said, I haven't had any issues whatsoever, but it's been on my mind and I'd like to ask just to be sure, though I'm getting a better cooler soon anyway. (Using the stock Wraith Stealth right now)
So is this unusual? Should I worry or not?
