Problem with LEDs on Wraith Prism Cooler

I just built a new system in April with a Ryzen 7 3700X and a ASUS TUF Gaming X570-plus motherboard.  The processor works great.  The issue I have is with the Wraith Prism Cooler.  The fan works as it is supposed to.  The LEDS initially worked, however, when I went to install some new hardware today, I discovered the LEDs were no longer functioning.  I checked the cable to usb and it is connect correctly.  I am at a loss of what to do.  With the processor and fan only 2 months old I would expect the LEDs to still function.

What new hardware did you install?

What happens if you remove the new hardware, does the LEDs work again?

Try and see if the Wraith Prism (LEDs) works correctly on another computer if possible.

If it doesn't work again after removing the new hardware or on another computer then you have a decision to make.

1. Since the Wraith Prism is working fine and keeping your processor from overheating but with no LEDs then you can just ignore and accept the malfunctioning LEDs since it has no bearing on the CPU Cooler actual function and keep it the way it is.

2. Open a Warranty Request if it is still under the Retailer's Warranty. If the Retailer's Warranty has expired then open a Online AMD Warranty Request and see if they will replace it or give tips on how to get it the LEDs to work again from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/warranty-information/rma-form

So the time elapsed on my ability to send it back to Amazon.  I opened a request with AMD and let them know it was only the cooler with LEDs and asked to replace the cooler only.  They asked me to send them a video so they could see what was happening.  Fortunately, I had a video from when I completed the build that show the Wraith illuminated, so I emailed them both that video and a new one show the LEDs not functioning.  They approved the claim and sent me a new cooler which I received today and paid for the postage to return the malfunction cooler.  I have to say I am very pleased with AMDs customer support/service.

Glad you got a new replacement and everything is working correctly again. Also verifying that AMD will replace a Bundled CPU Cooler if it can be shown to be defective.

Thanks for the Update.

Take care.

I have been lucky, my cooler is run from the fan header and there is a RGB header near the fan header for LEDs which I can manage with the motherboard software.

I use the Wraith Stealth RGB on my R5 3600 mostly as it is more robust and less likely my CPU will bake under a heavy workload.

The RGB LED is set to the temperature of the CPU so I can see immediately if it is hot. It hardly ever gets hot and it cools rapidly which favorable.
