Hello, I have a problem where my Asus TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS the other day wouldn't post and said i have a problem with my CPU. (I've been using the system fine for about 10 months)

I tried taking my CPU out and inspected it for anything out of the order and also inspected the socket for the CPU and nothing out of order seen, so I put the CPU back in and tried turning it back on.

My PC now posts but with only 1 usable memory channel. I don't have a second AM5 system to test my CPU in and AMD has directed me here instead of running an RMA of the CPU.

I've tried reseating and adjusting the pressure on the CPU, any help will be appreciated

auraprime, please post all your parts. Do a Clear CMOS. Check your Event log and post the Details tab for a couple of errors. I had a memory controller problem which turned out to be a MB problem. I had RMAed the processor to no avail, RMAed the MB several times and finally it was replaced instead of repaired and I have been running fine since. Enjoy, John.

hi misterj, i did a clear cmos. and on checking the eventlog there's loads of errors mostly refering to different unconnected services that are having problems.

the main errors that repeat are amdryzenmasterdriverv20 error 7000 and gameinput service terminated.

auraprime, when you look in the Event Log, Filter by Critical. Most  of these errors have no consequences and can be ignored. I do not know why MS logs them. Enjoy, John.
