No need to open a MSI Support ticket to find your answer. Just go to your Motherboard's CPU LIST under "Compatibility" and it will show you all the processors and BIOS Version needed that is supported.
If the CPU LIST doesn't show your processor it isn't supported. Because for the processor to be recognized and to boot up, the Motherboard must have a UEFI BIOS that will support it.
To answer your question, NO your motherboard doesn't support the Ryzen 2000 series processors according to its CPU LIST: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B550M-PRO-VDH/support#cpu
Here is the last part of the CPU LIST showing the last Ryzen 5 that it supports. No 2000 series listed:
The oldest Ryzen 5 processor on the list is the Ryzen 5 3500 processors. After the list starts with the Ryzen 3 processors.
Even MSI SUPPORT on your motherboard specs says it only supports Ryzen 5000 and 3000 series processors: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B550M-PRO-VDH/Specification
or you can still follow the "Solution" and open a MSI SUPPORT ticket as MisterJ so wisely suggested.
