Hello. I just bought Ryzen 5500 and I need a motherboard(A520 or budget B550) now but most motherboards needs bios update for 5500. Which motherboards supports ryzen 5500 without bios update? I search a list for this but no luck. Are there any list about this? I don't have older Ryzen cpu for bios update unfortunately.

Hi,

If a retailer is selling a brand new B550 board, it should have the latest BIOS already flashed or at least a supported one, but this is not a 100% sure thing as it could be a poor box that sat on a shelf for years.

I would also buy from a place where the return policy is good enough to send it back if it doesn't work.

Buy locally, ask the sales person and tell him about your situation, maybe he can help you out.
Some small stores will absolutely help you.

Buy a board with dedicated flash button and BIOS USB port so You can do it even without entering the BIOS.

Thank you for your answer. I think I'll try the Gigabyte A520M DS3H with q flash bios. These bios support issues in these cpu generations gonna kill me.
