Low score on cinebench with ryzen 7 7800x3d

i have 32 gigs of ram 6000mhz expo enabled

last bios update

all the drivers are updated

cooler is a nzxt x53 with am5 bracket, i hit 89 degrees on cinebench and while gaming never go past 65-70

i have an gigabyte b650 gaming x motherboard 2 sets of m2 ssd 1tb samsung psu seasonic 750w the case has an good airflow with plenty of fans

+rtx 3080

and only 15748 pts on cinebench

i don't know what it's going on... please help

You are thermal throttling. The TJMax of the R7 7800x3D is lower than the normal R7 7800 (89°C vs 95°C). Kinda weird with the 120W TDP of the CPU, so I would check if your AIO is running at a Silent Mode and if that isn't the case make sure there is no toasty plastic between your AIO and the CPU. I've seen people cool 250W TDP CPUs with your AIO and not hit 89° so this sounds quite likely to me.

nixterboy, you are probably not throttling due to Tjmax but we can't tell since you did not post relative information. Please run Cinebench (2024.1) again and post a screenshot of Ryzen Master (RM). You Cinebench score tells me that you are running an older version of Cinebench. Please go to their website and DL the latest (2024.1). Thanks and enjoy, John.
