Friends I have desktop with core i5 6500 processor (4 core, 64 bit windows 10). Now I want a laptop with AMD processor having performance same as core i5 6500 processor. If it is 6 core than it would be better. Please suggest AMD processors or laptop brands available in india with 4 core or 6 core.

Well the current mainstream AMD mobile unit, the 4700U, slaughters the i5-6500, and the entry level 4300U exceeds it, so no matter which 4000 series CPU you choose in a laptop it will exceed what you have now. I would suggest the 4700U or higher because that's what you'll find in the current $750 segment of the market, good all around with no major drawbacks laptops, plus as you move up the stack the graphics improves as well.

Then look at the 4800H. Aside from SMT, it's often found in laptops with a 16GB-64GB RAM option vs the 8GB of the 4700, plus it's quite a bit faster than the 4700.
