We have connected two AMD systems ( based on EPYC 7282) through NTB ports. We are seeing the following issues:
Issue 1: In the BIOS settings we configured for Gen 4 in both the systems. But, when the system boots up, one of the system automatically gets configured to different generation( Gen 1 or Gen 2 or Gen 3 -- It is not consistent across reboots).
Please let us know the proper procedure.
Issue 2: We are using NTB netdev application that comes with the Linux kernel. After running the netdev application in both the AMD systems interconnected through the NTB ports, sometimes one of the AMD system crashes without any user intervention. Can you let us know if you have faced such issues and resolution for the same ?
