Does the Ryzen 5 3400 G Processor support Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite Motherboard? They changed the motherboard once, but still it pwers off while playing games for some minutes, many people are saying that B550 Doesn't support it, but I have B550M model. Please help me out.
Deleted my reply because I misread your Processor. I thought you had a Ryzen 5 3500 not Ryzen 5 3400 processor.
The Ryzen 5 3500 would have worked out of the box with the original BIOS version of F1.
@goodplay, Good thing that he caught that which I misread.
According to your Gigabyte CPU SUPPORT LIST linked by Goodplay, it doesn't show your processor as being compatible.
Sorry for the wrong original info given by me.
Here is the cpu support list https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B550M-AORUS-ELITE-rev-1x/support#support-cpu
FYI, i recently got similar 5xx chipset series based motherboard and it had a message right on the box that Ryzen 5 3400G (and also Ryzen 3 3200G) aren't supported. Also, same notifications are on the Gigabyte website (pictures attached below).
It could be either general incompatibility related to 5xx series chipsets, or Gigabyte again reserved some Flash memory size for further processor models support.
B550 chipset only supports CPU's based on Zen2 and newer architectures, 3xxxG series CPU's are Zen+:
