I bought an AMD Ryzen 7 1700X and want to know the generation.

I also want to know how I can determine the generation from an AMD Ryzen processor.

Please see below, this is my Amazon order.

First Generation, the model number starts with 1 = 1700. 2nd gen starts with 2 = 2700. The upcoming 3rd gen will start with 3

joselbrear, I am not sure what you are asking for but CPU-Z will tell Stepping etc, but the serial number will probably tell something, I just do not know.  I suggest you open an AMD Online Support request (give serial) and ask them.  Enjoy, John.
