I have this weird goop at the bottom of my stock cooler, is this ok and normal?

This odd goop that I think might be lubricant of some sort has gathered at the bottom of my fan and I'm a bit worried about it.

Does look like some of the lubricant from the Fan's bearing case leaked out.

There is no other place that oil could have come from. Even though it looks like a lot of oil from such a small bearing case. Inspect the fan base or middle where the Manufacturer's sticker is and see if you see any oily marks.

There are numerous Youtube videos that show how to add oil to the bearings which are located under the sticker in the middle of the fan. Possibly the sticker or bearing cap which seals the oil came loose.

CPU Fans are relatively cheap to purchase, if for some reason, you can't add oil to the Fan's bearings. If the CPU Cooler is still under Warranty then you can always RMA it and get a new fan.

Hi Cesarmen,

No habla espanol me.

Yes i clean it and now it is gone. It has returned today but small amount.

They say it is excess oil from the fan bearing.

I will clean mine today and let you know when it returns.
