Is the SSD you plan on installing a SATA or PCIe type SSD?
Please post the Make & Model of your SSD.
Found this Tom's Hardware that a User asks the same question. Here was the correct answer: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/is-m-2-ssd-compatible-with-my-motherboard-and-cpu.3629043/
What that note 2 seems to say is if you have a Athlon or 7th Generation A-Series processor installed it will only support SATA SSD and not PCIe (NVME) SSDs.
Otherwise any other Ryzen Processor will support both SATA and PCIe (NVME) SSDs.
Here are all the compatible SSDs for your motherboard from its QVL Iist for SSDs: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Document/mb_m.2_support_amd_211020.pdf?v=fc1fd2aedb81df544c96...
Show both SATA and PCIe.
