Hi,
I have the above system and while the motherboard says the two sticks of ram are in dual channel mode CPUID CPU-Z says the memory is in single channel mode. I have two identical kingston 4GB DDR3 ram modules.
I've removed the cmos battery and re-inserted it but the problem persists. I've tried each ram module individually in each slot and they both work.
My question is firstly which might be right, the motherboard or CPUID CPU-Z? Also if the memory is operating in single channel mode which is going to be the most likely cause, the cpu or the motherboard?
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
