I recently got a desktop PC with an AMD FX-8320 in it. I downloaded Windows and all the suggested drivers from Windows updates, but the computer is running really slow (like, it takes 6 minutes to boot up slow). Are there drivers specific to the FX-8320 that I need to download for it to run fast?
If you have something like a mechanical HDD, that'll be your culprit right there and not the CPU.
I've got a HDD and then an SSD with Windows on it. Would that cause any issues?
You shouldn't be getting that kind of boot times with a SSD. But I'm also not looking at the CPU as the faulty one.
You are sure that the OS is in the SSD?
Is it possible to backup your data and fresh install Windows?
Windows is on the SSD, the HDD has nothing on it yet. I could try reinstalling windows. How do i back up my computer?
Hi,
If you are not comfortable doing this, maybe you should ask a friend with more experience.
But a BackUp is a BackUp, its just.. save your important data, either Photos, Musics, Savegames, Work, anything to a safe location, like a NAS or an External Drive. You never know.
cool, thanks for your advice
