Adept II

Do I have a ryzen 5 3600 or 3600x

Keep seeing this in all forums but, I have no idea which one I own. Is there that much difference in between the two? Really like to know how hot this can go under what I call gaming (World of Tanks) with twitch streaming on!

To see what specific CPU you have, something like CPU-Z will show you:

https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

And, for a comparison of the CPUs, here's a Gamer's Nexus video from a while back:

Look at the CPU Part number to tell you which processor you have.

The Retail Box should mention the CPU Part Number and Serial Number or as mentioned run CPUID or CPU-Z to find out the part number.

According to CPU World showing the Part Numbers and Mhz of each processor:

NOTE: The "X" CPU is slightly faster than the non-"X" CPU.
