CPU Temperature Drops Only When Opening AMD Chipset Driver Utility – Need Help!

Hello everyone,

I recently built a new system, and ever since I got it, my CPU has been running at 60-70°C idle and around 75°C under load. I spent a lot of time trying to find a solution. Later on, while experimenting through trial and error, I suddenly noticed my CPU temperature dropped to 45°C, and I experienced a noticeable performance boost. Since I had tried so many things, I wasn’t sure what exactly solved the issue, but I was happy it was resolved and didn’t think much about it.

However, after shutting down and restarting my computer, I realized my CPU temperature was back to 60-70°C when idle. I spent hours repeating everything I had done before and eventually opened the AMD chipset driver utility with the intention of reinstalling the chipset drivers. To my surprise, as soon as the utility began scanning for hardware, my CPU temperature dropped to 45°C within seconds.

For the past few days, this issue persists: my CPU temperature only drops when I open the AMD chipset driver utility, and it won’t stabilize unless I do so.

If anyone can suggest a permanent solution or explain why this temperature drop occurs, I would greatly appreciate it.
