CPU Red Light During Gaming: Ryzen 5950x

Hello,

Two weeks, started to have a problem after 2 hours of gaming. CPU Red Light will come from the motherboard and display will go off. I have to shut down and restart to use the PC again. Would also face the same issue after two hours or three of gaming. (BF 2042 and Cyberpunk)

Fact: I do flip simulation in Houdini and rendering using both GPU and CPU for days! with no issue at all!!! Plus using Unreal Engine from time to time.

All the mentioined apps are considered as high load, and my PC is handling them beautifully! But it gets itchy with games...lol!

Temps reading usually showing on NZXT screen varies from: 66 to 77 during CPU light on.

My specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5950x (Bought at the release time).

PSU: Asus RoG Thor 1200 W. Upgarded last month.

Ram: Furry 128gb 3200mhz. (4 slots). Upgraded 6 months ago.

GPU: Nvidia, TUF RTX 3080ti.

Mobo: MSI MPG x570 Gaming Pro Carbon Wifi.

Cooler: NZXT Z63.

Troubleshooting so far:

1- Applied thermal paste on CPU.

2- Re-seating CPU. (Clear bios).

3- Re-seating RAM and changing slots.

4- Re-connect PSU Cables.

5- Checked CPU fan cable in Mobo.

6- Run Cinebench to stress CPU.

Yet...nothing seems to be working! I was in several PC shops showing them a video of the problem, and non of them faced the issue before. Read online as well, where it seems Red Light will usually comes during booting not while gaming!

Strange case...any thoughts or advices will be highly appreciated!

There is an 06 March 2023 BIOS update for your motherboard.  I suggest you flash that and then clear the CMOS after it boots once.

As Albert Einstein said, "I could have done so much more with a Big Al's Computer!".

I did update bios...like never. Do I need to download all bios updates or only the last one...(excuse the silly question, but bios gives me cramps).
