Hello i put a Ryzen 7 3800x processor to an ASUS prime B450M-A motherboard and i have a black screen.

It runs a RYZEN 5 2600 processor. I saw that 7 3800x is combatible. Anyone can help me?

First can you please give your computer information especially Make & Model of your hardware installed and Windows version and Graphics driver installed?

According to your motherboard's CPU SUPPORT LIST you need BIOS version 1201 installed for the new processor to be recognized or to boot up.

Which BIOS version you do you have installed?

The Ryzen 5 2600 only requires the original BIOS version to work unlike the Ryzen 7 3800X processor: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/PRIME/PRIME-B450M-A/HelpDesk_BIOS/

What errors are you getting on your Motherboard? Any Motherboard Trouble LED lights are lit when you power up with the new processor?

Thank you . i flashed my Bios to the latest version and worked!!!

Hey mate how did you flashback the bios on this board currently have same problem same board. Also what version of the bios did you use
