Bit of a PC specs noob - i'm currently running a Ryzen 7 3700X with a RTX 3060 and wondering if i should be buying a 5700x3D and if that will help with my GPU and Heavy GPU games?

It should give you a fair boost and squeeze more life out of your AM4 board investment. Just make sure its compatible at the vendors page.

In the meanwhile, browse some YouTube videos with your specs to see some real comparisons during gaming.
