Does anyone know if AMD also provide boot kits for updating X470 boards to 4th gen? I want to run a 5600 on it and I dont have any older CPUs.
I believe so: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100 and this is for the 5000 series CPU but only mentions 500 Series Motherboards: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-105
I suggest your open a AMD Warranty request and ask for the Boot Kit and see what they say. The last link I posted about the 5000 series on 500 series Motherboards may not be updated yet to include the 400 Series Motherboards.
