ASUS Prime B350M-A does not boot with Ryzen 5 1600 (12nm)

Hi, I have assembled my new

  • ASUS Prime B350M-A rev. 1.03
  • Ryzen 5 1600 (12nm)
  • 2x8 GB DDR4
  • GeForce GT 710

CPU and chassis cooler connected, speaker as well. PSU is older, 300watt, 24 PIN ATX connected, 4 PIN 12V connected

But it behaves strange. Even in the minimal configuration

  • CPU
  • 1 RAM slot
  • Graphics
  1. Power button turns system on, but never off (Power LED is on, background light on, coolers working)
  2. No POST beeps
  3. No video signal to monitor
  4. System does not boot

Here are photos (with no graphics card, which does not change behavior) :

Here is a speaker connection

According to Asus Specs on your motherboard it uses a "8" Pin ATX 12v connection not "4" Pin.  Unless it was a typo on your part if you only have 4 of the 8 Pins connected to the ATX 12v connection you computer won't boot up.

1 x 8-pin ATX 12V Power connector(s)

Also I recommend that you upgrade your PSU to a wattage of around 750 Watts or higher.  The 300 Watt PSU is the minimum wattage needed to run your computer with a GTX710 GPU card installed.
