Goodmoring,
I'm Marco from Italy ad I'm new to this forum and going to be an AMD consumer!
I'm here to ask a simply question about the compatibility ram with notebook CPU Ryzen 7 4800H.
I'm going to buy a TongFang GK5NR0O with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H and RTX 2060.
It born with 2666Mhz memory , but I can choose to install only 4gb to save some money and but faster ram apart.
They told me that If the RAM has XMP support it can't run at 3200Mhz, better explained, they told me that it run but run at lower frequency than 3200 Mhz cause of XMP support. Now, I've read what is XMP support, and I have some doubt about they told me. XMP is for Intel to overclock the ram, what does it have to do with it ?? I don't want to overclock and I don't have Intel. So , they say this to me only cause they can only sell me 2666mhz? Or is this trouble true?
Thank you in advance,
Marco
