Amd ryzen 3600x only using 30% while gaming  and thats not getting me the fps i expect

i also tried ryzen master but it's the same thing

my pc specs are 
Amd ryzen 3600x

motherboard b450 aouras elite

GPU rtx 2080

ram 2*8 crucial ballistic

Which games are you trying, and what's the resolution?

Only a few titles may use 6c/12t at once, so situation seems normal.

In dota 

fps in fights drops to 90~110
in league fps drops to 120~140 in fights 
resolution 1080p

I don't believe its a CPU issue but we can run a few tests to make sure nevertheless.

• What windows Power Plan are you using?
• Download MSI Afterburner to monitor temps and clock speeds while gaming and share the results.
• What are your other graphic settings? Is Dota the only game you face this issue?

Hi,

Agree with what int13h said but it still should hit more CPU usage unless you're playing a really low CPU intensive game. It should hit anywhere from 50-80% usage on relatively modern titles.

I dunno I have a 3600 and in a lot of games it don't go over 50%. In for honor on max 1080 setting it only uses around 25% on avg. Not sure if that's a cpu intensive game but ive never noticed high cpu in others

Soemtimes you need your cpu to work with more than 30% to make sure you have stable fps and thats not happening in my case...i also tried amd ryzen master with gaming mode and nothing has changed

I would be running a X570 board with the 3600X and 3200Mhz or Higher Ram.3000 series CPU's love fast Ram.considering what you've spent on the other parts,I would think a X570 board would be on your upgrade list.
