HELLO:
MY DESKTOP PROCESSOR AMD FX-8350 REQUIRES REPLACEMENT FOR WINDOWS 11 SUPPORT/OPERATING SYSTEM...
ANY RECOMMENDATIONS? DESKTOP HAS ALL OTHER WINDOWS 11 REQUIREMENTS...
You will need to upgrade to a Ryzen Processor that has fTPM feature and Motherboard unless your AM3+ Motherboard has a TPM Port to install a TPM Card.
FX8350 will not fit in a AM4 Socket Ryzen motherboard only on a AM3+ Motherboard.
HELLO:
MY MOTHERBOARD IS AN ASUS HYBRID PRIME B550M-A (WIFI) M5A78L-M/USB3.....
I WAS LOOKING AT AMD RYZEN 7 5900H....
REPLY??
I believe all Ryzen processors support fTPM. You just need to enable it in BIOS like I did for my Ryzen 7 3700X processor.
Besides your Asus has a TPM Port to connect a TPM card if you so choose to go that route and you can enable UEFI Mode in BIOS if you don't have any hardware connected that requires CSM Mode (Legacy).
I have a Asus Motherboard that I have CSM Mode with both UEFI and CSM (Legacy) enabled due that my monitor doesn't have any video output during POST when I have strictly UEFI Mode enabled.
Note: unless you accidentally misprinted the Ryzen processor the Ryzen 7 5900H is a mobile processor and not a Desktop. Also in your Asus Motherboard CPU SUPPORT LIST the only Ryzen APUs lists ends in "G" or "GE" letters.
Your Asus Motherboard supports the following APU processors: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/PRIME/PRIME-B550M-A-WI-FI/HelpDesk_CPU/
5300G/GE, 5600G/GE, 5700G/GE, PRO 5350G/GE, PRO 4650G, PRO 5640G/GE, PRO 4750G, & PRO 5750G/GE.
At present, the Ryzen 5 5600g seems to be the best bang for the buck. A few days before the 5600g was released, I purchased a Ryzen 5 4650g. Given the last year of shortages, I wrongly figured that the 5600g would be a "paper launch".
