AMD A12 9700P Radeon R7 + WIN 11

Hello

I have an HP Laptop with AMD A12 9700P Radeon R7 processor. Currently I am using WIN 10.

When testing for WIN11, the only part not supported is the processor.

This has now been updated to BIOS version F.32 Rev.A.

Why is it exactly that this processor is not supported?

My Laptop is only 5 years old.

Thanks for the info in advance

Nobby

I'm not concerned here with whether the processor is a few years older, but whether anyone knows why it is not accepted, because there are even older processors that still run with WIN11.

Have you not read the requirements articles, microsoft Docs., the list of supported processors.

Basically MS say for security standards (also makes their job easier coding to less system configs.).

As for even older processors running it, many using workarounds, hacks?

Now that's an easy excuse. What was wrong with the AMD processor that made it incompatible?

The fact that the processors are simply sorted out after 6 years, although they are still running perfectly, is a waste of resources.

What was the name of the successor? Can you put it on the AMD 12 port?
