AMD 9950x3D Core Parking Not Functioning
Good morning everyone. I have encountered with core parking on my AMD Ryzen 9950x3D processor.
The problem seems to stem from Windows 11 not parking CCD1, which negatively impacts performance during specific tasks such as gaming or workstation activities. I am using Asus TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI, and despite updating to the latest BIOS version (Version 3222 - 2025/03/07), the issue persists.
I have already attempted the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Resetting the CMOS
- Adjusting the CPPC settings in the BIOS to "cache" or "driver"
- Installing the latest chipset drivers (7.02.13.148)
Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the problem. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on additional troubleshooting steps or any updates/patches that might address this core parking issue.
Thanks in advance.

Good evening and thanks for getting back to me on this. I can confirm whilst the BIOS is set to Automatic to control which CCD is in use that the AMD 3D V-Cache Performance Optimizer Service is running. When I change the BIOS setting to Cache, the service is not running. At the moment I have the CCD controlled setting the BIOS to Automatic, with the V-Cache Performance Optimizer running.
Cheers
