78003XD C5 error on motherboard X870E

Hello

My motherboard Gigabyte Aorus elit X870E seems to not recognizing my CPU Ryzen 7 78003XD and displays C5 code right after the start (10 seconds)

I couldn't get help yet from gygabyte on the motherboard side.

Does anyone know anything about this error code ? or a way to get help ?

Thanks in advance

Googling the C5 error seems to indicate an issue with your RAM.   Both sites i went to, one by Asus and another by ASRock, forum had C5 error codes. Both Forums Users mentioned it was related to RAM or Memory. The ASRock User replaced his current RAM and the C5 Error code disappeared and fixed the issue, as an example.

Remove all your RAM sticks EXCEPT for one and see if it boots up or not.

Check your Gigabyte Support Motherboard QVL List for RAM and see if your RAM is listed or not. If not then go to your RAM manufacturer site and see if it is compatible with your Motherboard or processor.

Here is your Motherboard's QVL List for RAM for the 7000 series AMD Processors: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X870E-AORUS-ELITE-WIFI7/support#support-memsup

Please post your exact RAM Part numbers and PC information.

NOTE: Sounds like incompatible RAM if not listed at Gigabyte or at your Ram Manufacturer site.  If the RAM is listed as compatible than you might have a defective Motherboard, RAM, or CPU.

EDIT: According to your Motherboard's Manual Debug Code concerning C5 is "Reserved":

Code Description
B4 USB device hot plug-in.
B5 PCI device hot plug.
B6 Clean-up of NVRAM.
B7 Reconfigure NVRAM settings.
B8~BF Reserved.
C0~CF Reserved.

hi there i the Gigabyte master  X870E i also have this ram here F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK and this CPU here 100-100000908WOF.

I'm also getting the c5 code mine will go from code 15 to code c5

I have Q-Flashed to the bios the updated one even went down by 1 still nothing

i have changed out the ram sticks for the same ones and still nothing

I have resitted the cpu

I also have nothing else in the motherboard

I have changed out the power supply as well

from what I have found its something to do about the ram training and its something it don't like

Hi & thank you

Have you tried the solution from Elstaci and check if your RAM belongs to the compatibility list mine doesn't it might be a hope there

Thank you very much

I checked the list and indeed the RAM I got is not on it (Crucial 16GO*2 6400 Mhz)

But how come it worked at first and I've installed windows etc etc

Mem part nb is : CP16G64C38U5W.M8D3

would a Q-flash the BIOS work ? I tried yesterdaybut with all components plugged didn't work I am thinking redoing the flash with just the mother board branched would it work ? is there a risk.

For the record, after it worked the first time I've dismenteled transport and rebuilt the PC and I cleaned thermal past from CPU sometimes I wonder if I've damaged it or the socket.. I ll join some photos of the CPU and socket after cleaning

I hope it's not the CPU or the mother board (socket) that are damaged

Thanks a lot
