Hello I've recently purchased a pc so I can play on 1080p with max settings without raytracing. The PC has the following specs:
CPU:5800x3d
GPU:6750xt
MB: Gigabyte A520m-ds3h. Sadly this motherboard's not capable of undervolting.
RAM: Corsair VEngeance LPX 32 gb 3200mhz ram.
PSU: 850W Bronze
CASE: Unknown brand(Fazn Paladin) 3 front intake fans 2 top exhaust 1 back exhaust. All fans are running at 100% speed.
CPU COOLER: Jonsbo CR-1200 running at 100% speed .
Ambient Temperature: 27 C to 29 C (outside temp was nearly 37 C today).
While playing battlefield V my temps were fluctuating between 88-90 C. Usually stayed at 90c. My case has 6 fans. 3 intake 3 exhaust and I have a pretty decent budget big air cooler. Today I went to the store I bought the pc from to get the chip checked. After they checked it they told me that it is acceptable to even be playing for hours on 90+ temps. I don't know what to do . Those guys are technicians but it can't be right to have so high cpu temp. While stressing cpu with intels utility the temps go as high as nearly 92 within 20 seconds!!! The techs also repasted the cpu ... What should I do ???
The problem is your CPU Cooler isn't powerful enough to keep your processor from overheating.
I was able to find your Jonsbo CR-1200 TDP Rating from this website: https://www.conrad.com/p/jonsbo-cr-1200-cpu-cooler-fan-2299637
You need a CPU Cooler rated a minimum of 150 watts TDP or higher (the better) to keep your processor from overheating under loads.
The Ryzen 58003D is rated at 105 watts TDP but you will need a CPU Cooler rated much higher than that because the processor runs quite hotter than 105 watts TDP.
Here is AMD Recommended CPU Coolers for 105 Watt Ryzen 5000 and 7000 series processors:
Notice that AMD Recommends mainly AIO Liquid CPU Coolers except for Noctua Air CPU Coolers which are very powerful.
Gamers Nexus did a review on up to 68W CPUs, they did not think it was worth testing on anything higher.
You cant expect anything else from 20$ cooler... you need Arctic freezer A34 or similar, i run my 7900x with this cooler, 95 degrees under 100% workload out of the box. 75 degrees undervolted at 1.065V 5.1 GHZ . change your cooler. it is worth the money! Cooling is not something you compromise with! No need of water cooling, or something crazy expensive like noctua, budget coolers can do the job too, just not the one you got. that cooler is for ryzen 1600
Yeah, you need to upgrade your cooler. I had a similar problem with my 5900x. Changed from a NZXT x53 240mm to a Artic liquid freezer 2 360mm and the difference was 10/15 degrees
