I'm using ASUS Zephyrus G15 GA502IU, equipped with Ryzen 7 Mobile 4800H. One of applications run on this PC relies on Brand String value of CPUID (with EAX=80000002h, 80000003h, 80000004h) for copy protection purpose and I found that 4800H returns different strings sometimes. Normally it's "AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS with Radeon Graphics" and it returns "AMD Ryzen 7 4800HSS with Radeon Graphics", with extra "S" occasionally. Typically, I saw this change right after sleep then resume. I have confirmed this with CPU-Z too. Therefore I don't think it's caused by coding error.
Does someone encounter this symptom? Any means to avoid?
