3900x

hello

i have 3900x on asus rog 570-e and on stock settings (fresh windows, 2004 update, last amd drivers, 1409 bios) doesnt hit 4.6ghz on any core, i see max 4.55 on 1, a few with 4.51 on ccd0 and 4.2-4.3 on ccd1. i use nzxt x63 for cooling, temps dont go above 70 on CB20 multi and 60 on single test. is that normal or i got unlucky with silicon lotery?

use the defaults the turbo feature will handle heavy workloads when needed

multicore processors are too complex for a one size fits fall overclock which is why the cores are dynamic

you need a more robust cooler than the OEM one for the CPU to reach it's max boost.

I guess you could go for a liquid nitrogen cooler, bit pricey but it can get you where you want to go
