3700x won't post with dual channel memory

Hello,

So I got myself a new setup, the foundation for it is a:

Ryzen 3700x on a Asus x570 Prime Pro, with 16gb of RAM HX430C15PB3/8. It works fine in Single channel, I can post and I can work with it no problem...

But what I want is a Dual channel memory so... Upon assembly I installed in MB A2* and B2* ( as MB manufacturer says ) and I got a yellow DRAM light check and FAILED post.

Then I installed in A2* and A1... and POST ok

Now I needed a new set of memory so I got a HX430C15PB3K2/16. ( At the time I was sure that It might be a compatibility thing).

The new set of RAM came tried and same happen.

Thankfully I contacted the retailer, I got the ram back to the warehouse they tried it and it works in Dual channel and it posts...

Now I will have my mobo tested, in which I hope it will be where the issue rest. Is it possible this might be a CPU issue? I mean everything works fine, I do my rendering ok.

Your RAM Memory is listed in Asus QVL list for Rzyen 3xxx Processors. It also mentions that it is compatible in 1DIMM, 2DIMM, & 4DIMM. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/PRIME_X570-P/Memory_QVL_3rd_Gen_AMD_Ryzen_Processors...

I would update your Motherboard's BIOS and Chip set to the latest version and then see if your RAM works in Dual Channel:PRIME X570-PRO Driver & Tools | Motherboards | ASUS USA

Also see if by setting your BIOS into its "Default" settings if it helps. If you upgrade your BIOS Version it will automatically be installed in its "Default' settings.

You can do it via BIOS or by doing a Clear CMOS on your motheboard. It case you have a BIOS setting that is causing the issue with your RAM.

Also having this issue.  I have ASUS TUF Gaming X-570 Plus WiFi. Updated to 1405 - newest.  Same problem.  I am assuming a bad board.

I have tried my Ryzen 3800x with two ASUS TUF Gaming X-570 Plus WiFi (the original and the RMA).

I have also tested with 3 different G.Skill 3600Mhz memory, the G.Skill Snipper, then Trident Neoz 16gb and with later with the Trident Neoz Z 32Gb.

I even got rid of the ASUS motherboard and bought a new Gigabyte AORUS x570 ultra, which I am now regretting because the issue persisted so I see no other option rather than replacing the CPU, which if it ends up being the culprit it would have saved me a lot of time and money so I am kind of frustrated and regretting moving away from my previous stable non- AMD PC.

Just like checking to see if the spark plug wire is connected properly on mower,  take the cpu out and look at all pins with  a magnifying glass - especially the corners.  I found out the hard way that bent pins will cause all kinds of weird behavior, including memory problems.  I saw this suggested on some posts, and I did not believe them at first until I was desperate.
