the 5900X is faster in Games (as you said) - but even faster is the 5800X = the 5800X has a single CCX and therefore less latency
BUT if you want to stream your games then the 5950X would come in handy: you simply run the game on cores 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 (8 physical cores of CCX 1) OR even 1-16 (physical cores AND SMT cores of CCX1) && run OBS on cores 17,19,21,23,25,27 (6 of 8 physical cores of CCX2) WHILE all other tasks run on 18,20,22,24,26,28,29,30,31,32 (8 SMT cores and 2 physical cores of CCX2)
i wouldnt recomment the 5900X - as modern Games will rely on 8C/16T and each CCX of 5900X has only 6C/12T - so if you push 8C/16T of 12C/24T you will have higher latency // yet 6C/12T of CCX1 is enough for most games today + you then use 6 physical cores of CCX2 for OBS and 6 SMT for all other programms
if its ONLY for Gaming: 5800X (maybe you get a golden sample with max OC of 4.8GHz allcore)
when Gaming AND streaming: 5950X // will allow to even run a 1080p60 webcam and good audio filters etc for streaming without lowering Game performance
