Dear @XFX_PlayHard @amd @amdradeon @AMDGaming,
I was shocked to read the article, “XFX admits Radeon RX 9070 XT spec mistake: no vapor chamber on Mercury non-OC, dual 8-Pin on all non-OC cards.”
Here is the link to the article for reference: https://videocardz.com/newz/xfx-admits-radeon-rx-9070-xt-spec-mistake-no-vapor-chamber-on-mercury-no...
Key concerns:
• The XFX Mercury AMD Radeon RX 9070XT Gaming Edition non-OC model lacks a vapor chamber, contrary to the original spec, and uses nickel-plated cold plates instead.
• All non-OC models have dual 8-pin power connectors, not triple 8-pin as initially advertised.
If XFX has acknowledged this and updated the specs, it confirms that the initial product information was misleading. As a customer, I feel deceived—these specifications significantly influenced my purchase decision.
Furthermore, the product box still displays 3x 8-pin power connectors (see attached screenshot), and that constitutes false advertising, which is illegal in Europe.

I've also attached images from two YouTube videos clearly showing the original (now-changed) specs:
1st Link (at 18:00 & 20:00): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whZvsG9m-eE&t=1083s
2nd Link (at 22:34): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlqyoKkjqJ8

Additionally, I’ve attached a recent screenshot from XFX website. It now states: “Vapor Chamber on OC models,” a change made after many customers had already purchased based on the earlier specs.
I paid a premium price above AMD’s MSRP for a high-end Mercury GPU, trusting the advertised features. I expect to receive the product as originally specified—or a proper resolution.
I appreciate your prompt clarification on this matter.
Best regards,
Z
