I just bought a Razer Core X ogpu for my MacBook pro (Mojave: 10.14 beta). I installed a XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX and plugged it in. Everything works great at lower resolutions @ 60hz nut if I try playing a game at 4k 60hz the screen will turn black off and on. There is also a popping noise (I think from speakers) when it goes black. 

I am brand new to this. I don't see where there should be any drivers to install on the mac.  Any ideas? I don't even know if this is a good place to ask.

Maybe I should clarify - The MacBook itself is running at 4k 60hz just fine. I am referring to the resolution and frequency within the game. When I try 4k 60hz in the game, the trouble starts.

Switching from HDMI to DP seems to have fixed the problem.
