Hey, hope you all are doing well.
So I recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 1060 to a RX 6600 XT
My current config
R5 1600
Asrock AB350M Pro4 updated to latest BIOS
PNY XLR8 DDR4 3200 8GBx2
PowerColor Hellhound 6600 XT
Antec VP500PC PSU
Now my problem is when I start up my PC after say 2hrs gap of it being shutdown my PC lights up and shows the BIOS splashscreen with it's loading symbol and then goes all black showing No Signal message. I have to hold down my power button to turn off the PC and then 10s later press power again and it normally boots into windows no issues. And I can also restart no issues and do gaming or work with absolutely no crashes or nothing.
Reddit suggestions I've tried:
Disabling ULPS from registry
Forcing PCIe Gen 3 speeds in BIOS
Reseating all my power cables and components
Disabling Fast Boot from Registry
Rolled back from latest drivers to 22.10.2
Notes:
I used DDU in safe mode before installing my AMD drivers.
I updated the BIOS about two weeks before upgrading my GPU and used my 1060 to run without any issues at all. And yes my cpu is validated on the latest version.
I did reset BIOS to default before installing the GPU I do have Afterburner running on my PC but just doing monitoring.
I do not have access to another PSU to check. But it games fine when it boots into Windows actually.
The pc boots properly with no issues when there are no Adrenaline drivers installed. Basic Microsoft display drivers. But then my CPU is working 100% when wallpaper engine is running.
Also I am using ATLAS OS.
1. I reinstalled the drivers 5 times so far, of them 4 times the latest 23.9.x, 23.10.x and after some reddit surfing the 22.10.2. Every time used DDU in safe mode.
2. I tried various settings in BIOS as I mentioned forcing PCIe Gen 3 or enabling disabling ReBar, My PSU is supplying correct voltages too as I could see the readings in the BIOS. Even keeping all default.
3. I tried both High Performance and Ryzen power plans. Even an Ultimate plan. These plans worked all good with my 1060.
4. Thermals look fine I guess, CPU 68C under load and GPU 70C stabilised.
5. I haven't looked for issues with RAM, but it does boot alright after the hard shutdown, and I didn't have any problem just a week ago when I had the 1060 in the system.
I feel pretty defeated at this point. Nothing seems to solve these issues. Performance is great for the price don't get me wrong but the QOL issues is just too much with Radeon vs GTX imo.
I always disable fast boot in bios, and fast startup in windows (not from registry). I also disable windows superfetch due to it using an older driver version in the distant past like Win 7 or vista. By disabling those 3 items, windows should be using the proper drivers for currently installed hardware.
Fast boot is Disabled in BIOS for me. On a Reddit thread there was a mention of Hiberboot in registry I did the suggested edits there too and on power options, Fast boot is disabled too.
I am using ATLAS OS not default Windows as I mentioned so I have to install all the latest drivers manually/ using SDIO since Windows updates are completely removed.
