Do you know whether an AMD Vega 64 in a sonnet breakaway box 650 connecting to a Mac mini will be able to connect from the displayport of the graphics card to the LG UltraFine 5K, I have found a cable that supports 8K The cable is a Club 3D | USB Type C Cable to DP 1.4 8K60Hz M/M 1.8m/5.9ft but I believe the max output resolution on a Vega 64 is 4k but I don't know whether connecting from the displayport on the Vega to the LG will work even if its resolution could come out at 4k instead of the full 5k so long as it worked it would be better than connecting to separate controllers on the Mac mini.
