This has been happing for almost a year now when I run Fortnite I get really low fps and the rest of my games are fine bur Fortnite just trying to play with friends and I'm pretty sure my GPU is updated and everything Its a radeon rx 5700 a XFX model please help me.

Try to change something in the graphics settings of the game, avoid ultra, just try it out. That also helped me and to minimize the image enhancement tools for HD or 2k. They need a lot of computing power, but hardly bring anything to picture improvement with these resolutions.
