First the Maximum Operating Temperature (Hot Spot) for the 6000 series GPU card is 110c. So at 93c you are still working under the Maximum Operating Temperature.
Room Ambient Temperature is a major factor concerning CPU and GPU temperatures. The hotter the room the hotter the average CPU and GPU temperatures will be since it is circulating warm or hot air from the room.
Also poor air circulation is a major factor also. If you remove your PC Side panel and the CPU or GPU Temperatures are slightly lower that would indicate poor air circulation inside your PC case.
Make sure all of your PC Case fans are working and running at maximum speed. If one fan is going bad that would affect your air circulation and cause both the CPU and GPU temps to rise.
Also make sure your PC Air Filters are clean and not clogged. That would also affect air circulation inside your PC.
Also make sure your GPU Card Heat sink is clean and not cluttered with dust and dirt. That would affect the heat transferring properties of your GPU card heat Sink.
Make sure the GPU card fan(s) is running at maximum speed when the hot spot goes above 70c - 80c.
Some reasons why your GPU card temperatures might have started running hotter than normal.
NOTE: When you replaced your GPU Card thermal paste on the GPU chip did you also make sure the GPU's Thermal Pads were still in good shape and not damaged after you removed the GPU Heat sink?
I believe most GPU cards use both Thermal Pads and Thermal Paste at the same time.
