I have two PCs. #1 Ryzen 5 1600 CPU and RX 570 GPU. #2 Ryzen 3 2200G with Vega 8 GPU.

Both system hang when Max Payne 1 or Max Payne 2 start under Steam. Other games of that vintage run OK.

PC #2 also has a Nvidia Geforce 650TI-Boost. All the games run OK with that GPU.

There are other threads with various fixes. The steam forums are great for finding fixes to old games that won't launch.
