Sapphire 7800XT Nitro Fans always run at full speed

Hello everyone,

I got my Sapphire 7800XT Nitro today, and from the very beginning, the card's fans ran at full speed.

However, 0 RPM mode is enabled, and if I look at the sensors in GPU-Z, it shows 0%, but it also shows fans running at 3000 rpm.

This is the same value Adrenalin is showing.

Removing 0 RPM mode shows the correct percentage in GPU-Z, but it still shows 3000 rpm.

I have the latest drivers installed, the latest MB bios, and the latest Windows updates.

I tried to change the fan curve to no avail. Furthermore, I reinstalled the latest driver after a DDU uninstall.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Christian

GPU-Z may need an update for new card model?

Is this problem with no fan setting/OC changes in the radeon software, or any 3rd party oc/fan control app.?

Radeon Software shows the same info.

I hear the fans and it doesn't matter which software I try to change the fan speed nothing is working.

Reset any tuning back to default, and something is sucking system memory for just in desktop with 2 apps open.

The card has inbuilt zero rpm and should idle fan under low load without the need of any software fan tuning.

Did that already, no effect.

I also had a game open while I made the screenshot.
