Hi all,
I have been trying to install my s7150x2 into a HP DL380 Gen9 running VMware Exsi 6.5 for about a week now without success.
I am following these instructions..
https://www2.ati.com/relnotes/setup-guide-mxgpu-setup-for-vmware.pdf
https://www2.ati.com/relnotes/setup-guide-mxgpu-setup-for-vmware.pdf
the host drivers include 2 vib files, I'm not sure what the difference between the 2 is, but I've tried both without success.
amdgpuv-1.05-1OEM.650.0.0.4598673.x86_64-CL1424097.vib
amdgpuv-cim-1.00-6.5.0-4598673.vib
The error I come up against when running the mxgpu-install.sh installation script is...
Detected 0 SR-IOV GPU
No SRIOV GPU found.
that appears to be telling me the s7150x2 card is not being found in the system.
I have checked in bios and SRIOV is enabled
I'm not sure what to do now, can someone offer some suggestions.
Thanks for your help
fsadough may be able to help with that.
I've just realised I don't have a power cable for this.
It didn't come with a power cable and I'm having terrible trouble trying to find one online to buy.
Can someone tell me the correct part number for the power cable for use in a HP DL380 Gen9.
The server side of the cable needs to be 10 pin and the card side 6pin+8pin
thanks
For some non-AMD/ATI GPU boards for some DL380 G7s and some DL580 G7s we ordered the supposedly appropriate cables on eBay.
We ordered more than a dozen cables via eBay, some were correct, some were not.
In the end, we obtained the tools and parts to re-work the cables as needed.
You can use eBay search for: 10pin to 6+8pin GPU DL380 G9
And maybe look into Molex tools (crimpers, extractors, etc) and parts via Google.
I have the same issue. Does the AMD Firepro S7150x2 require a power cable (6+8pin) that will be attached to the PCI board (10pin)? I received a Firepro S7150x2 card but it doesn't came with the power cable. It is for an HP DL380 G9.
Regards.
Hi,
After 3 years of your post; I have the same issue. No power cable.
Could you please help me with the correct part number or pinout of the power cable?
Thanks
