Ryzen 9 7950X, ASUS PRIME X670, RX 6700 XT: Hogwarts Legacy frequently crashes at launch

This is my hardware:

  • ASUS PRIME X670 (with onboard AMD video)
  • Ryzen 9 7950X
  • Radeon RX 6700 XT (Adrenalin 23.3.1)
  • HTC Vive (original model, might be relevant?)
  • Three LG 4k monitors (DP) + one mini 1080p monitor (HDMI)

I'm running Windows 10 Enterprise, and until today, I was using an NVIDIA GTX 1080. Since upgrading, I cannot get Hogwarts Legacy to reliably launch for the life of me. I've managed to launch it maybe four times.

The very first time I launched after installing my new dGPU, the game did launch, but it opened on the wrong display. When I moved the game window (via the in-game menu), the game crashed and the dGPU driver unrecoverably crashed. Two reboots later the driver loaded, and I ran DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove any extraneous NVIDIA-related stuff from my system.

Since that first time, I've only managed to get the game to launch if my iGPU is disabled in UEFI (not in Windows Device Manager) - but even then, it's unreliable. Nuking the game's configs (ini files used to set up the engine, GPU settings, etc.) did work for awhile, but now that doesn't seem to be working anymore.

I have lots of crash dumps and accompanying data. The relevant error information from the logs is:

"ErrorMessage": "LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 715] \nhr failed \n at W:/Engine/Source/Runtime/D3D12RHI/Private/Windows/WindowsD3D12PipelineState.cpp:1043 \n with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED with Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR\n\n\n\n"

Other games aren't crashing - Skyrim SE works, as do older games (really old games, like Morrowind and Oblivion).

Thanks in advance for any help offered!
