Hey !
So I've been pandering with this issue, it isn't that big deal but still wondering. I tried to RMA card but seller said that its ok, nothing wrong in card. It still has warranty.
So the issue is, when i play The First Descendant i get some transparent green lines like bullet traces, this happens when i point my camera in game to point where Unreal Engine's light source is placed. So aiming camera in specific direction in the stage these lines appear IF my Post-processing setting (from game graphics options) is on high (2) or higher, on low (0) and medium (1) setting these lines doesn't appear but it also seems that it disables the PP effect.
I have hunch that issue is between AMD driver and game, some incompatibility related issue perhaps, but just a guess tho.
-The First Descendant game performance on 4k ultra, runs stable 60FPS, as well other games run fine.
-I also run one hour test on memtest vulcan, no memory issues was found.
-3D Mark Steel Nomad tests give me 5865 highest and on average around 5700 points.
-No crashes so far, everything seems be normal, only issues seems to be with this Specific game.
What i have tried so far:
- Another display and another cable.
- Older drivers, and clean install of Windows.
- Various game settings, Ray-tracing, Frame-generation, all combinations, but still its only the Post-processing what effect.
- Parts are quite new , around year old.
- Tried to RMA card , seller said its good to go.
- Reported the issue to AMD, Gigabyte and Nexon (game developer co), haven't got help from there.
My setup is:
- Windows 11 Pro x64.
- Asus TUF Gaming B550-m plus.
- LPX Vengeance DDR4 2x8GB.
- Gigabyte gaming OC RX7900XT 20GB.
- Adata Legend 2TB Nvme.
- Asus TUF 850w Gold PSU. I use two separate cables from PSU to GPU, like its recommended.
- DeepCool ATX Case with 5*120mm fans for sufficient cooling.
Thanks in advance!
