The card is about 3yo, bought it barely used from a friend in September, everything worked perfectly fine even under load from renderings, until 10 days ago when under very light load the screen went green (not a gsod). I was running the HIP SDK Pro drivers and the previous day windows did an update (not to the GPU). A couple of weeks before I switched from hdmi to display port (don't know the cable's version) running 2k 165 Hz
Didn't think of restarting the device with ctrl alt shift b, after a couple of minutes of nothing happening I forced a shut down and since then it didn't boot if AMD drivers were installed and the card enabled.
Tried everything that can be done with just one machine, up to a new windows install, setting its port to pciex 3.0, booting with everything superfluous disconnected... Still if I try and install any AMD driver from any source it crashes and cycles reboot until it lands on the diagnostic menu
The errors it gave:
- "atiadlxx.dll contains an error", when inspected it weighed 1.3 MB but was full of spaces
- pc not going past POST checks sometimes
The card looks totally fine from the outside
