rx6600m only showing 4gb of memory

Hello,

I have purchased an MSI Alpha 15 (b5eek) laptop recently which is supposed to have an rx6600m 8gb card in it. However when I look at the total memory in windows or using gpu-z or dxdiag it says it only has 4gb of memory. Everything reports that it is an rx6600 but it does not have 8gb of memory. Does anyone know why this is happening? I've also noticed that even under heavy load it doesn't reach 80w draw and usually only gets to 40w. Thanks for the help!

Have you updated any drivers or BIOS versions since you got your laptop?

According to TechPowerUp the RX6600m should have 8GB of vRAM installed as you mentioned.

Yeah I should be up to date with drivers. Ill ask on MSI as well.
